When an electro acoustic engineer found himself frustrated that his career was becoming more management than engineering, Analogue Horizon was born.
Living in Japan at the time, having a passion for music and a fascination with sound creation it didn't take too long before buying broken vintage synths and bringing them back to life re-ignited that love of hands on engineering .
That was nearly 20 years ago. Now back in the UK, I specialise in restoring and repairing Japanese analogue Synths and Keyboards from the 1970's and 1980's. I also restore tape echo machines and analogue effects machines along with occasional early digital synths.
My customers are hobbiests, enthusiastic amateur musicians and long term music industry professionals. One of the greatest pleasures is getting to meet so many creative people from different backgrounds.
I'm equally happy to help find a hobbiest their first analogue synth, or do repairs for profesionals needing to work to strict deadlines.
Other than serviceing and repairing customers synths, I normally have small selection of synths prepared and ready to sell. I'm also quite comfortable with sourcing specific synths and then restoring and upgrading to meet a customers requirments. Korg, Roland and Yamaha equipment from the 70's and 80's is my speciality, but occasionally I deal with other brands and era's too.
Open today | 18:00 – 21:00 |
I have full time 'normal' job too, but work on synths most evenings and weekends that I'm home.
